Ryan Reynolds has eyes on the biggest prize after an incredible journey he’d love to emulate

If there's one person who knows what he wants and knows how to get it, it's Ryan Reynolds.

Ryan Reynolds is dealing with a number of things at the moment, like not being able to improvise while filming Deadpool 3 while the writer’s strike is still grinding Hollywood to a halt. There is one thing that is keeping the actor going and that’s his ownership stake in Wrexham A.F.C., with his goal being to make it to the top tier as he congratulates the team that made it happen this year.

One thing that has made the Deadpool franchise really work has been Wade Wilson’s sense of humor, which often comes right off the top of Reynolds’ head. With the writer’s strike still going on, he has been told to say his lines the way they were written while the contracts were being signed and until it’s over, he has to stick with that. It’s like telling him to shut up.

If anyone, he’s a man who is in definite need of a win and Wrexham is giving him that. The Hollywood industry might be able to tell him to shut up, but the football team has given him plenty to yell about. Along with fellow actor Rob McElhenney, Reynolds bought a team that hadn’t seen the Football League in 15 years. Yet, that’s not where his eyes are set. He’s looking to watch his team reach the Premier League, which is the top-tier as far as the English football pyramid is concerned.

When Luton Town F.C. celebrated its ascension to Premier League on Saturday, Reynolds was one of the first to congratulate the team but also to say, Wrexham’s coming.

For some reference, Football in Berkshire details how the pyramid works – from Level 1 being Premier League to Level 2 being EFL Championship, Level 3 being EFL League One, Level 4 being EFL League Two, and Level 5, Step 1 being National League. National League is where Wrexham currently plays and they have never been in Premier League despite being the third-oldest club in the association.

The Wrexham fan club tweeting out of Las Vegas is totally on board.

Fans have the weirdest ways of expressing their loyalty and support.

Whether it’s possible in one season to make that leap or it might take several, the fact remains that it is possible.

It would appear that jumping from Level 5 to Level 1 seems to be a longevity goal, but with perfect precision and wins out the wazoo, it’s possible in less time than other teams have taken.

Wrexham will actually be coming to Florida in July to play Chelsea and then back home to host a match against Man United at the end of the month. So there’s plenty of football coming up and that should give Reynolds a good bit of wins to tide him over.
