Twitch is reporting that Jessica Biel has been offered the part of Viper in Marvel’s upcoming superhero film The Wolverine. This news comes only a few days after a number of other actors were added to the project, including Will Yun Lee, who was cast as the villain, Silver Samurai.
Viper, for those who don’t know, is a “complex character” who is both a friend and foe to Wolverine. You can check out her character page here for more details. It looks like she has connections to The Silver Samurai as well as a number of other Marvel’s classic characters.
Though the offer has been made, Biel hasn’t accepted. So don’t count this as official just yet. It’s likely but until we hear confirmation, don’t get too excited.
Either way, it’s still nice to see that the film is coming together and that a respectable cast is being assembled. Though I don’t exactly care for Biel one way or the other, at the very least, she’ll provide some nice eye candy to contrast all the action and fighting.
