Epic GamesCliff Bleszinksi announced today during a San Diego Comic-Con panel that Fortnite will be the first game developed using Unreal Engine 4 and it will be “exclusively for the PC”, adding, “Next-gen’s here. It’s been here. It’s a high-end PC,”.

First revealed last December at Spike TV’s 2011 Video Game Awards, Fortnite is best described as a cross between a tower defense game and Minecraft, where players have to scavenge cities for building materials during the day and use them to fortify their building to survive the nightly zombie attacks.

Sadly, Bleszinksi didn’t give any indication as to when we can expect to see Fortnite hit the PC.

As more details about the next-gen PC exclusive are released, we will let you know.
