Vin Diesel takes it upon himself to announce the release date for ‘Fast X: Part 2’

The only thing more important than family is patience.

With Fast X still doing donuts at the box office, fans of the impossibly explosive, giddily self-aware action franchise got quite the treat in this glimpse of a finale that Vin Diesel and company are still cooking up, and thanks to the man himself, we finally know where to mark our calendars next.

In a recent Instagram post, the leading man shared his love for the Fast family, both on set and in the seats of cinemas, while also confirming that we can expect Fast X: Part 2 to make its theatrical bow on April 4, 2025.

He would go on to call the Fast X follow-up an entry “like you have never seen,” and given what Dom and his crew have gotten up to over these past 11 entries, that statement could quite literally mean anything. The 12th seems like a good point to finally introduce time travel, right? We’re still crossing our fingers for that Jurassic Park crossover, too.

Fast X introduced a brand new enemy to the Toretto clan in the form of Dante Reyes, the flamboyant, menacing son of Hernan Reyes, who was killed by Dom and company during the events of Fast Five. When we last left the gang, Dante seemed to be fairly far along in his quest to tear apart the clan, but given the lack of bodies we’ve seen from the villain’s efforts so far, we reckon that if Fast X: Part 2 isn’t the site of a reunion, Part 3 will be.

Fast X is currently playing in theaters, while Fast X: Part 2 is now confirmed to release on April 4, 2025.
