While The White Lotus anthology series brought in a new set of big names from the first season to the second, Jennifer Coolidge has been the only character, other than her husband, to visit the Four Seasons resort in Hawaii in the first season and return to the Four Seasons in Italy in the second. Now, it appears that fans have a reason to scratch their heads after learning the great actress might be back in the story one day before it runs its course.

For those who have been living under a rock, Jennifer Coolidge started her career in an episode of Seinfeld back in 1993 when she played the role of Jodi. Eyes popped out of their sockets in 1999 when she appeared in American Pie as Stifler’s mom. In 2001, she was Elle’s shy manicurist in Legally Blonde. With all of her memorable roles from 2 Broke Girls to an episode of Friends, it wasn’t until starring in The White Lotus that she finally won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress and A Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress as well as a slew of other awards.

In White Lotus, she plays the quirky role of Tanya McQuoid, who has serious issues and brought her mother’s ashes to the islands to spread them out at sea. The overall theme of the first season was about vacationers who visit such a beautiful place and take advantage of the people and resources there only to leave the mess they made and return home to their own worlds.

Hearts were broken at the end of the season when Tanya ends up being the one found floating in the water, which in most cases would mean that her role is done in the show. However, according to Deadline, the show’s creator Mike White announced in a press conference at the Sydney Film Festival in Australia on Saturday that may not be the case when he was asked if it would be possible for Tanya to be written into a hypothetical prequel.

“I absolutely think that’s possible, we were just talking about that.” He went on to say, “It’s a funny idea. And making Jennifer, you know, 20 years younger, that would be fun too. I think Jennifer’s like, ‘Sure, let’s do it!’.”

Jennifer Coolidge was in the press conference with White and agreed that it would be a possibility. Then, she was asked where she would like the location to be.

“Australia gets my vote.”

Of course, they were in Australia so the journalists were interested in whether or not the show could ever come down their way. White gave no hesitation when he answered.

“My dream would be to hit every continent, so yeah, this is like its own continent, basically. We kind of have to come to Australia if we keep going.”

The White Lotus season 3 will be shot in Thailand and will bring back the spa’s manager from season 1, Belinda. After that, don’t be surprised if the following season doesn’t head down under with the kangaroos and Fosters beer while taking a trip back to see what Tanya was like in her younger years.
