Texas Roadhouse family pack money-saving hack extolled in viral TikTok

Looking to save some money?

Looking for a really good deal? Someone on TikTok figured out a great meal hack for the restaurant Texas Roadhouse, and it’s a way to save almost $40, which — I don’t care who you are, saving money is always a good plan.

The TikToker, named Kristen (@paras_site_adventures), revealed she saved all that money by ordering the food as take out instead of actually eating inside the restaurant. Her video, viewed by coupon cutters everywhere, quickly went viral, with more than 156k likes as of this writing.

Kristen says she can’t afford to dine at the restaurant because a typical bill for her family clocks in at almost $100, and that’s before her husband orders a beer (does he have to order a beer?). She then starts showing off a huge bag of food containing a family beef tip meal, salad, green beans and steak fries.

She also got a bad with a lot of butter and a “buttload” of rolls. Have you ever thought about the connotation of what a “buttload” means? You’re welcome. She also got even more rolls. Anyone who isn’t getting rolls is “missing out on life.” The bag’s purchase price? Between $50 and $55.

The video, by the way, sits around 3.3 million views. Also, according to the Krazy Koupon Lady, family packs are not available at every location, so make sure to check with your local one. The website demonstrated that a Family Meal is the way to go, showing discounts of 54% for chicken fritters, 49% for BBQ chicken, 62% for pork chops, and 62% for ribs.

Regardless, looks like family meals are the way to go if you have a family and want to save some money. If you want the ambience of a Roadhouse in person however, those discounts don’t apply.
