How he's continuing to connect with his followers.

Green is an author, YouTuber, and entrepreneur best known for sharing science content in a simple and accessible way. He and his brother John have been sharing free educational content for nearly a decade via Crash Course and have expanded to TikTok in recent years.

When he shared his diagnosis, he received an overwhelming amount of love and support from his followers – stars like Lizzo and Finneas, and even from President Biden.

Since then he has been taking some time off while sharing vlogs of his appointments and chemotherapy sessions as well as the answers to whatever questions his followers may have about chemo, cancer, and anything else.

Under the hashtag #AskHank, Green has taken the time to explain why he can’t give blood as a cancer patient, where the name ‘Hodgkins’ comes from, and whether or not his chemotherapy could kill any other cancer he may unknowingly have.

He is also currently rocking a chemo-induced mohawk after explaining why chemo makes you lose your hair and why he can’t use the preventative measures that patients with other types of cancer can.

Thankfully, as Green explained in one of his videos, “[Hodgkins Lymphona] is the Cadillac of lymphoma. It’s the one you want if you’re gonna get a lymphoma.” He shared that it is very treatable and even recently told his audience that his cancer is responding well to treatment.

Viewers can keep up with his cancer journey via his TikTok and continue following his and his brother’s content via their YouTube, newsletter, and podcast.
