The Witcher season 3 Henry Cavill

‘The Witcher’ stunt revelations indicate Liam Hemsworth has an even tougher job replacing Henry Cavill than we thought

Very few have faith in him.

At the end of this month, the first half of the third season of Netflix’s adaptation of The Witcher will premiere. It will be Henry Cavill’s last outing as the titular character and, while he is set to be replaced in the fourth season by Liam Hemsworth, new revelations about the show’s production do not have anyone confident there will be a completely flawless actor transition.

In a new article published by UNILAD, the show’s stunt coordinator Wolfgang Stegemann reveals Cavill did all of his own stunts when filming the project. He says the entertainer was so intimately involved in choreography that he was de facto a second stunt coordinator.

“It is not just about having a fight; it is about how we shoot this fight. Henry and I basically sit together on the monitor and we hold the cameras and go through the fight to find all of the right angles, all the right movements. And, yeah, it is incredible.”

On Twitter, the report has been picked up on by fans of the project who are not happy with Hemsworth coming in and do not have faith in his turn like the producers of the series do. Several do not think that Hemsworth will even try to have a similar effort on the set and for one, it is a guarantee in their mind that he is going to shift over to stuntmen.

Elsewhere in the discourse, fans are demanding Cavill pop up in a similar role down the line. Different sentiments argue he lived the role while filming and did not just perform it, and, when it comes to the direct-to-DVD Australian coming in, hope is not high.

Whatever the case, fans will find out how Cavill will exit the show and how Hemsworth will come in via what has been promised to be a lore friendly way soon enough. The second half of the third season begins Jul. 27 and will consist of three new episodes.
