The 'Warrior Nun' fanbase achieved the nearly-impossible.

Holy heck y’all, the Halo Bearers really did it.

After months of campaigning, erecting billboards, and full-blown marching in the streets, the impassioned Warrior Nun fanbase accomplished the impossible. They cinched a renewal for the canceled fantasy series, which will officially return for another season.

It’s a massive victory, and a well-deserved one, after so much work put in by the fandom. It’s also a huge surprise, given the months-long wait, and truly incredible news for fans of the delightful series.

The excitement surrounding Warrior Nun’s return makes it much harder to focus on news surrounding The Witcher’s third season, which is finally upon us. Fans still aren’t ready to say goodbye to Henry Cavill, but the season’s two-part release is helping, at least a bit, to ease the pain of his departure as Geralt of Rivia, if only barely.

The show’s fresh season, like those before, sports plenty of gorgeous visuals, along with several eye-catching real-world locations. Some of them can even be visited in real life, for those willing to undergo a cross-continental journey.

The Warrior Nun fandom lends its impact to the WGA

As the WGA strike stretches into its eighth week, the unstoppable Warrior Nun fandom is stepping in to lend their aid. The group, which has tirelessly campaigned to see the popular Netflix fantasy return for a third season, added a new item to their cohesive efforts, after initiating a fundraiser benefiting the WGA in conjunction with lead actress Alba Baptista’s birthday. The fundraising drive, which launched on GoFundMe on June 23, quickly surpassed its original goal of $2,500 donations. Within a week, it raised $3,700 of a new, expanded goal, and donations are still pouring in.

All before finally accomplishing its major, overarching goal

And that was all ahead of Warrior Nun’s official return. The fundraiser’s success, paired with the victory of Warrior Nun season three, proves just how effective an impassioned fanbase can be, and Halo Bearers are still reeling from the fruits their efforts have yielded. Many are simply basking in their well-deserved victory, and celebrating the excellent news — which came at the tail end of Pride Month — as a victory for sapphics everywhere.

Those stunning locations in The Witcher are half set, half real world

Plenty of the incredible settings displayed across The Witcher’s first few seasons were lovingly crafted by a talented team in a studio, but at least a few of them are the real deal. Those breathtaking backdrops are all natural, and stem from a range of real world locations, including areas scattered across Hungary, the U.K., Poland, and Spain.

Reactions to The Witcher season three are officially in

With The Witcher’s third, and Henry Cavill’s final, season officially available to stream, audience reactions are pouring in. Most people — including the show’s cast members — are still in mourning over Cavill’s loss, but the third season’s first part is still going over relatively well. Our own review notes that its far from a “perfect” season, but that it starts Cavill’s big farewell in fitting style.
