Those who were planning on buying BioWare‘s Mass Effect 3 on the Wii U won’t have to experience the original ending that left many gamers disappointed.

Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut was recently released on the PS3, PC, and 360 as a response to the demands made from the player base for a better ending. According to Joystiq, Extended Cut will be available on the Wii U version from the start, no download required.

This isn’t too big of a surprise considering that the new ending was free to begin with. It’ll save players a few hours of downloading, however, and we all know how much of a hassle downloading is, right?

The Wii U version of Mass Effect 3 is scheduled to release sometime after the Wii U does, which itself is scheduled for sometime later this year.
