‘You lazy POS!’: Lazy dad finds an ingenious way to fetch his dropped remote

Holy mullet!

TikTok creator Stephen Lomas redefines the concept of a “lazy POS” after showcasing a unique way to pick up a dropped remote with a little assistance from his one-year-old daughter Miya.

This all began on July 10 when Stephen’s partner, Alix Blahnik, uploaded a video on the social media platform of the pair cuddling on the couch in what appears to be their home as they watched cartoons. The mother of two said, “Look at them cuddling. Look at them.”

Further into the clip, the adorable father-daughter moment was interrupted when Lomas accidentally dropped the remote on the ground inches away from the couch by hitting it with his elbow. Instead of getting up to retrieve the device, Lomas came up with the clever idea to use Miya.

In the upload, Lomas is seen picking up the infant and gently placing her in the direction of where the remote is. Almost immediately following that step, it appeared that the duo had been here before because without hesitation, Miya picked up the remote and handed it to Lomas.

As all this was happening, a stunned Blahnik called Lomas out for being incredibly lazy. She stated, “You lazy POS. That’s so funny.” Lomas responded by making an inaudible sound. When Blahnik asked what that was, Lomas explained that it was a dinosaur. Towards the end of the clip, she added that she considered Lomas’ idea a complete “dad move.”

“Well if that’s not a dad move I don’t know what is.”

Since the post has been shared with the public, it has generated over 16 million views and received more than 3 million likes. In addition to the positive response, other TikTok users joined in on the commotion by leaving various comments under the post.

One individual brought up how Miya didn’t question anything when her father used her to get the remote.

“She didn’t even question it. She knew what Dad needed without a word being spoken.”

At the same time, another TikTok user mentioned how Lomas looked at Miya as he prepped her for the mission when the remote dropped.

“The way he looks at her like ‘you ready for the mission.'”

A third person echoed a similar sentiment about Lomas’ face by saying it looked like a “light bulb went off.”

“The way he looked at her after he dropped it like a light bulb went off.”

Lastly, another social media user pointed out how Miya gave her father the remote following the completed task.

“The fact she handed it to him afterwards… lmao.”

Due to the video’s popularity, many people may now be inspired to use a shortcut whenever an accident happens, after seeing how perfectly it worked out for Lomas.
