Did Jennifer Lawrence have a body double in ‘No Hard Feelings?’

The answer may surprise you.

No Hard Feelings was one of the most talked about comedies over the summer of 2023 – and for good reason. Leading lady Jennifer Lawrence pulls out all of the stops in order to convincingly deliver her role as Maddie, the hot mess of an Uber driver who somehow finds herself tasked with seducing an awkward teenager.

However, some may find themselves questioning whether she pushed every boundary imaginable – particularly in regards to a now-infamous nude scene on the beach. Was that in fact Jennifer Lawrence, or did the Hunger Games star draw the line (like she did with method acting) and have someone else step up? Read on and find out.

Was that Jennifer Lawrence or a body double in No Hard Feelings?

You’d think an A-list star like Jennifer Lawrence would have opted to use a stand-in for the outrageous nude scene, but as a matter of fact, the fully naked character on the beach is 100 percent Lawrence, as she confirmed to Variety while promoting the film. She told the publication that people in her circles had their reservations about her baring all for the camera, but it turns out she ran with the idea without skipping a beat:

“Everyone in my life and my team is doing the right thing and going, ‘Are you sure? Are you sure? Are you sure?’ I didn’t even have a second thought. It was hilarious to me.”

Whether you’re looking to revisit, or catch the hilariously raunchy and well-received comedy for the first time, you can stream No Hard Feelings on Netflix, or buy or rent it from your preferred digital storefront.
