At long last, LittleBigPlanet PS Vita has a confirmed release date for North America – and it’s not too far off at all. The handheld spinoff of the popular platforming series will be released on September 25. To celebrate the announcement, Sony and developer Tarsier Games have also put together a behind-the-scenes look with some of the minds behind the game discussing the new Story mode.

The main campaign of LittleBigPlanet PS Vita will take series protagonist Sackboy to the new world of Carnivalia, a twisted place taken over by the mysterious Puppeteer. Along the way, he will meet a new cast of characters to help him out.

The video details some of the character and environment designs, hinting at a darker atmosphere and a cast that, in the developer’s own words, is as mad as a box of frogs. The video also includes various brief clips of the Story mode, showing off some of the twisted new environments Sackboy will traverse.
