Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Will Have Mods Available At Launch

Well this didn’t take long. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive won’t be released until next week, but teams are already hard at work developing mods for the title. Well, this didn’t take long. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive won’t be released until next week, but teams are already hard at work developing mods for the title. Valve announced that they’ve been collaborating with a mod team from Plaguefest.com to have a zombie mod available alongside the game’s launch on August 21st.

An official blog post on the Counter-Strike site stated that: “It was important to us as we developed CS:GO to make sure it was as moddable and extensible as any CS game, so this is just one of the many mods that will be available in the coming months.”

While this is a bit vague, it does leave a not so subtle hint that Counter-Strike fans should probably tune into GameTrailers TV on Spike TV at 1 AM/10PM PST tonight.

I don’t want to spoil anything for those of you tuning in, but it’s totally going to be about Counter-Strike.
