Peter Molyneux’s Curiosity Renamed Curiosity: What’s Inside The Cube

Earlier this week ex-Microsoft developer Peter Molyneux revealed that 22Cans' upcoming expensive DLC experiment, Curiosity: The Cube, would be renamed in order to avoid conflicting with Google searches for NASA’s Curiosity Mars rover. Earlier this week ex-Microsoft developer Peter Molyneux revealed that 22Cans’ upcoming expensive DLC experiment, Curiosity: The Cube, would be renamed in order to avoid conflicting with Google searches for NASA’s Curiosity Mars rover. After an intense night of brainstorming, Molyneux announced yesterday that the game will now be called Curiosity: What’s Inside The Cube.

Once again, just to make sure this is perfectly clear. The Curiosity: The Cube name was deemed by Molyneux to be far too similar to NASA’s Curiosity, so he has renamed it Curiosity: What’s Inside The Cube.

The overly drastic name change was revealed on Molyneux’s Twitter account. Shortly after the announcement, the legendary developer gave a nod to the fake @PeterMolydeux Twitter account, by Tweeting “Not what I voted for but ho hum. I wanted to call it ‘Cube of Duty'”.

In other Curiosity: What’s Inside The Cube news, 22Cans released a new trailer for the game this week. It doesn’t amount to much more than a teaser, but it does reveal that the game was pushed back from its August launch to sometime in September.
