Now that Borderlands 2 is less than a month away from bringing its addictive role-playing gameplay to retail store shelves, Gamestop’s exclusive pre-order bonus has been revealed.

Those who’ve put money down on Gearbox Software’s latest offering through the major gaming retailer and its owned EB Games stores, will be able to boost their in-game characters’ skills by competing in the Creature Slaughter Dome. Similar to Mad Moxxi’s frustrating Underdome, it will offer two important things: experience points and loot, both of which will carry over into the main game.

Additionally, those who heed its call and master its challenge will be able to earn Moxxi’s rocket launcher, which should certainly make things a bit easier.

Borderlands 2 will be released on September 18.
