Clint Eastwood Not Planning On The Expendables 3

Clint Eastwood is a man that gets around, and so does his name. Over his career he has went from in front of the camera to behind the scenes, and back again, proving time and again that even while wearing multiple hats he can perform with the best of them. Once again his success is going to be plastered across the big screen with the baseball drama Trouble With The Curve coming to theaters this weekend.

Clint Eastwood is a man that gets around, and so does his name. Over his career he has gone from in front of the camera to behind the scenes, and back again, proving time and again that even while wearing multiple hats he can perform with the best of them.

Once again his success is going to be plastered across the big screen with the baseball drama Trouble With The Curve coming to theaters this weekend. But what’s next for this iconic actor turned director?

Unfortunately for fans, despite rumors that surfaced over the last month that Eastwood was on producer Avi Lerner’s list of hopeful’s for the recently announced The Expendables 3, he doesn’t seem too keen on the idea. In an interview with Extra, Eastwood dismissed the idea with a “probably not,” putting an end to the question, at least for now.

Although the thought of him joining the cast of aging mercenaries would guarantee at least a few scenes worth taking note of, I can’t say I’m entirely upset or surprised by the news. There has to be enough other actors past their physical prime to make the price of my ticket worth it even without Clint Eastwood, and his name.

It was a lofty goal that’s for sure, but with Nic Cage already signed on and a few more who will presumably be joining in on the fun, it doesn’t look like production will be hurting any. In the meantime, you can check out the interview for yourself below and see what other quirky comments were exchanged.
