Darren Aronofsky’s long-time cinematographer, Matthew Libatique, Tweeted a photo today from the set of the director’s latest effort, Noah. The image, alongside Libatique’s caption (“Pre lighting on the holiest day of the year”), showcases a tower of snakes and an alligator aboard the ark.

The film follows the biblical fable of Noah, a regular bloke given the overwhelming task of constructing an ark capable of housing two of every animal on the planet in the face of an impending flood.

By the looks of this photo, Russell Crowe’s titular Noah has a snake fetish as there appear to be more than the requisite number of belly slitherers on board.

Also starring in the production are Jennifer Connelly, Anthony Hopkins, Emma Watson and Ray Winstone.

Currently in production, Noah is scheduled for release on March 28th, 2014. You can check out the photo below.
