Ubisoft’s latest trailer for Assassin’s Creed III was released today, giving us some background information on the events that led Connor down the path towards becoming a master assassin.

In the process of revealing some of the protagonist’s motivations for getting involved in the American Revolutionary War the trailer shows footage of him during his youth, indicating that we will get to play through some part of Connor’s childhood.

Assassin’s Creed III will be released for the PS3 and Xbox 360 on October 30th. The Wii U version of will launch alongside the new console on November 18th, with the PC version following on November 20th.

Yesterday, Ubisoft revealed that AC 3‘s first DLC will be a single-player campaign titled The Tyranny of King George. A launch date for the add-on content has not been announced but it will be released for all versions of the game.
