We’re a mere two weeks away from the release of Cloud Atlas, the ambitious new epic from the Wachowski Siblings and Tom Tykwer, and the marketing for the film is in full swing. We’ve already seen tons of material for the film such as trailers, banners, and images, but now we’re being treated to even more.

Today, thanks to The Playlist, we have a fascinating new featurette for the film that features the actors (Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, and more) talking about the multi-storyline structure of the film. Not only do you get to learn a little more about the film, but you also get to see some new footage.

In addition, we also have two new TV spots that once again show you just how epic the film is going to be as they give you a glimpse of the six different stories.

The official synopsis for the film is a bit vague, but reads as follows:

An exploration of how the actions of individual lives impact one another in the past, present and future, as one soul is shaped from a killer into a hero, and an act of kindness ripples across centuries to inspire a revolution.

More specifically, the film contains six stories, ranging from the mid 19th to the mid 24th centuries, that slowly reveal how they are connected to each other with many of the actors playing different parts throughout.

I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again: This is one of my most anticipated film for the remainder of the year, and even though the reviews have been a little mixed thus far, I’m still quite excited to see how it turns out.

Cloud Atlas finally hits theaters on October 26th.

Check out the featurette and TV spots below and let us know what you think in the comments.
