During its New York Comic Con panel, which took place earlier this calendar day, Marvel confirmed that Activision will be bringing The Amazing Spider-Man to Wii U. The port, which will include all of the game’s DLC packs, is expected to swing onto store shelves sometime this spring.

What’s nice about this planned re-release of one of this passed summer’s better titles is that it won’t force players to make use of motion controls. Instead, gesture-based mechanics will be included as an optional setting for those who’d prefer to swing their arms like the fictional human spider. Going further, the touchscreen gamepad will be used for menu accessibility.
