‘Everybody’s bullying him’: A princess cones to Prince Harry’s defense, claims the Duke of Sussex is ‘traumatized’

Prince Harry has found himself an unexpected ally who knows what he's going through all too well.

A Princess from a different royal family has come forward to defend Prince Harry in the middle of his family drama. Princess Delphine of the Belgian royal family claims she understands Harry and has accused everybody of “bullying” him.

Prince Harry’s life outside of the royal family has probably been rather stressful for him and his wife, Meghan Markle. The couple made the controversial decision to step down from royal duties over five years ago but it seems they’ve been able to fully shrug off the shadow their decision cast over them in the mind of the public. Every move from the Sussexes has been scrutinized and numerous hit pieces making them look bad have been published in the years since they left for California.

Now, in the midst of a potential comeback, Harry has received some unexpected support from someone who knows what it’s like to have beef with your own royal family.

Princess Delphine offers words of support to Harry

Harry has very few allies left. Sometimes even the ones who he does have left end up abandoning him due to royal drama. So these words from Delphine will likely be received positively by the Prince. According to an article from the Tatler, the Princess claimed that “Harry suffered so much” and that he was “traumatized.” She went on to theorize that that trauma was “coming out now.”

She pointed to the situation with Harry’s U.K. security. Harry lost his appeal in the U.K. courts earlier this year, however, Delphine suggests “it’s to do with what happened to his mother.”

“I understand the guy. He’s just traumatised. He’s doing these things, and everybody’s bullying him, but not thinking about his trauma, and I just find it terrible because I feel like he’s just been kind of left.”

She raises a good point, Harry has often mentioned his childhood and how the loss of his mother at such a young age affected him. But his pain often goes ignored. Instead he is frequently painted as the bad guy along with his wife.

The Princess understands better than most

Delphine isn’t exaggerating when she claims to understand Harry. The 57-year-old found out she was the illegitimate daughter of King Albert II when she was 17. In a quest to be rightfully recognised as a member of the royal family Delphine fought her case in court. Ultimately King Albert took a paternity test proving Delphine was indeed his daughter after which he promptly abdicated the throne. Delphine was granted permission to use her royal title in 2020.

While it’s not quite the same as Harry’s situation, Delphine clearly knows what it’s like to be cast out and denied your royal heritage. Sure, Harry may have had a hand in his own alienation from his family, but perhaps the world is being too harsh on him.

Either way, it looks like Prince Harry might have caught a break as peace talks between parties representing King Charles and the Sussexes apparently went quite well earlier this month. If Harry behaves then we could see the royal rift begin to close up a little.
