Wii U Black Ops II Won’t Have Call Of Duty Elite At Launch

Earlier this week we learned that Activision has not yet worked out a deal to release Black Ops II‘s downloadable content on the Wii U. Today the company doubled down on that disappointing news by revealing that the Wii U version will also not include Call of Duty Elite functionality when the game launches next month.

The publisher confirmed the news to Kotaku, saying:

“We are currently evaluating options for Call of Duty Elite to support Nintendo’s Wii U game system, however Call of Duty Elite for Call of Duty: Black Ops II will not support this platform when the game launches on November 13th,”

Hopefully this is just a case of Nintendo needing to work out a few kinks with their new online service at launch, and all of the missing content will eventually be updated into Black Ops II on the Wii U.

We will keep our ears open for any updates on the situation from The Big N or Activision, and let you know as soon as anything is announced.
