Meghan Markle has ‘no desire’ to reconnect with Prince William and King Charles for fear of losing control over Harry

Meghan is very concerned about Harry getting closer to the royal family again.

Meghan Markle is reportedly worried over what will happen if Prince Harry really does reconnect with his father and brother (and the rest of the royal family). According to one royal expert the Duchess of Sussex is keeping her distance while her husband attempts to reconnect with the rest of his family.

The peace talks between Harry and Charles’ representatives have reportedly gone well so far although Meghan has had practically no involvement. According to royal commentator Kinsey Schofield the duchess is staying out of it as she is in disagreement with Harry over the decision to reconnect with his family.

Meghan is worried about the royal reunion

Speaking to The Sun, Schofield explained that “any sort of interest in a royal reconciliation comes from Prince Harry.” Meanwhile Meghan Markle has “no desire to reconnect with the British royal family.” Her distance from the recent peace talks apparently come from her worries regarding being pushed out of Harry’s life.

“There are concerns on her end that if Harry does, you know, reunite with his father and… his brother, Meghan’s concern is they would push her out or that they would have more influence over Harry than she does.”

Of course, this has yet to be confirmed, but Schofield’s perspective does line up with what sources claimed the duchess was worried about last month. So could it be true that Meghan really is worried about losing control in this situation? The Sussexes do seem to be engaging in more independent activities separate from each other, Harry even made a sneaky visit to Botswana where he went “off comms” for a couple of days.

Harry can’t have it all

It seems as though the duke is caught between a rock and a hard place as Schofield suggests that this reconciliation is a “last resort” for him claiming that the reunion is as much about “having a purpose” as it is “saving his brand.” She claims that the prince has been somewhat lost after losing the charity, Sentebale, which he stepped down from earlier this year after the chair accused Harry and Prince Seeiso, (the two co-founders), among others, of harassment, bullying, and racism.

While Harry still has the Invictus Games, Schofield asks “how much does he truly contribute to Invictus on a day-to-day basis?” Meanwhile, Meghan seems to be flourishing with her recent As Ever brand supposedly doing very well and Netflix even signing a new deal with the Sussexes

But it seems as though Harry is feeling somewhat alienated from it all. While he may be able to find purpose with the royal family once more, it will inevitably mean giving up certain aspects of his current life. Meghan doesn’t seem to be on the same page as her husband right now and the royal family don’t seem open to welcoming her back either, so they may have to find a way to make this potential arrangement work separately from one another.
