Sometimes family secrets are better left untold, but sometimes the truth just needs to come out. A woman shared the aftermath of her grandfather’s death on TikTok as his horrific secret would soon be exposed to the whole family.

In this modern age it’s somewhat become the norm for people to share their traumatic family history on TikTok. In this case, Jasmyn Aleta’s story about her grandfather who passed away on Christmas Eve, 2022 is one that won’t soon be forgotten.

According to Jasmyn, her grandfather’s passing was not exactly mourned by his immediate family, “nobody cried when he passed.” You see, Jasmyn had long suspected that her grandfather was harboring a dark secret, ever since she was a child as a matter of fact.

She claims that he was a hoarder and one thing Jasmyn recalls his house being filled with whenever she visited as a child was books filled with explicit content. She specifies that the books contained all types of pornographic content although, from what she saw, it was all of legal age.

Jasmyn suspected her grandfather was hiding something

However, upon his death, Jasmyn would take the opportunity to find the evidence she needed to prove that her grandfather was the monster she suspected he was. According to her, her mother had made certain claims about the grandfather but the rest of the family simply brushed it all under the rug. While helping her grandmother clear out the house she found a stack of pamphlets that proved her grandfather was part of an organization known as NAMBLA.

My grandfather successfully fooled everyone in the family but my mother and I until the end. Despite the evidence, there are still members of the family that are in disbelief and struggling w such cognitive dissonance that they won’t talk about it, and still have his picture hung up – with their children. My grandfather is a huge reason I won’t have children. Not while world leaders are being found out on flight lists and still have millions of supporters… But think that what I do for a living is evil? No way. I broke the generational curses in my family so I can succeed in helping others break there’s. But part of that break means sacrificing my desire to be mother to my own biological child. Will I adopt. Very likely. But first, I want to rebuild a few more generational lines. #fyp #traumatok #witchtok

For those who don’t know, NAMBLA stands for the North American Man-Boy Love Association. It’s a group that advocates for the lowering of the age of consent and allowing relationships between adult men and young boys. Jasmyn claims she also found child pornography books along with the NAMBLA pamphlets further incriminating her late grandfather.

When she showed the pamphlet to her grandmother she finally accepted that her husband and partner of 65 years truly was a monster. Jasmyn asked her if her grandfather had ever threatened her or abused her to which she sadly replied that he had.

The response on TikTok

Many comments accused Jasmyn’s grandmother of knowing all along, one person wrote, “I don’t feel bad for your gran. she knew. she totally knew the entire time.” However, Jasmyn defends her gran claiming that her grandfather was incredibly abusive and would beat people for exploring areas of the house he said were forbidden.

While her grandmother has had trouble processing the revelation about her husband and NAMBLA it seems the family are slowly moving forward and dealing with the bombshell that Jamsyn’s grandfather dropped from beyond the grave.
