‘BlueAnon’: Dems are convinced Trump is dying, here’s the craziest theories of what’s happening

Is the Grim Reaper politely knocking on the Oval Office door?

Donald Trump hasn’t spoken on camera for a whole week, with his last appearance being at his Cabinet meeting on Aug 26. That’s raised eyebrows to the sky, as he famously loves the limelight and generally delivers public speeches, gives remarks, or makes announcements on average around 4 times per week.

So, what on Earth is going on in the White House right now, and is Trump okay? Evidence is mounting that he’s not: he has been seen in public, but photographers have been kept far away, and the distant photos we do have of him indicate his physical condition has rapidly deteriorated.

Also raising suspicions that the 79-year-old Trump is seriously unwell are older photos of Trump being posted as if they were from the last few days, JD Vance confirming he’s ready to assume the presidency, images of Trump’s apparently infected hand, and, as of today unexplained closed roads around Walter Reed hospital.

Theories about what’s really going on are running wild online in a phenomenon being derisively dubbed “BlueAnon”. There’s set to be a mysterious presidential announcement at 2 pm ET today, so what does the internet think it could be?

“Hearsay and conjecture are kinds of evidence…”

The top theory is that Trump has suffered a debilitating medical episode that’s being kept from the public in the hopes he’d recover. Many speculate he’s suffered a stroke that has affected his face and voice, explaining why he hasn’t appeared on camera.

If so, it’s unknown whether he could continue as president or be forced step down and let JD Vance take over. If true, this would make for some complex behind-the-scenes negotiation between Trump, Vance, his advisors, doctors, and the Trump family – each of which will have its own perspective on what should happen. They’d also have motivation to keep any arguments behind closed doors to ensure at least the appearance of a smooth transition of power (and to preserve Trump’s dignity).

There are some wilder conspiracies out there. One is that Trump has been poisoned with Polonium-210 by the sinister Vladimir Putin at their recent summit. After all, Putin has been known to use this assassination method, and this would explain Trump’s gradually disintegrating appearance. But, even for Russia, assassinating Trump and risking World War III may be going a bit far.

My personal favorite is that Trump did suffer a stroke, but that it’s reversed his political polarity and that his advisors are now desperately trying to contain woke Trump as he rants about intersectionality:

Whatever’s really going on, we should know soon. Maybe this is all a huge nothingburger, but even the fiercest skeptic can’t deny that Trump’s week-long vanishing act is… unusual.
