Swizz Beatz Owes $2.6 Million in Taxes

While Swizz Beatz has had a successful producer and sometimes rap career, a recent marriage with Alicia Keys and a newborn son, he is the latest person to join the long list of celebrities who failed to pay their taxes to Uncle Sam.

While Swizz Beatz has had a successful producer and sometimes rap career, a recent marriage with Alicia Keys and a newborn son, he is the latest person to join the long list of celebrities who failed to pay their taxes to Uncle Sam.

DetNews reports that the IRS filed a $283,562 lien against the producer on Monday with the New York City Register. The state of New York also filed a $134,738 tax warrant against him and his ex-wife, R&B singer Mashonda on October 23rd.

These were the most recent cases, although four other liens have been filed against Swizz dating back to 2006, with the most substantial being a $842,645 lien against Swizz and his ex-wife on March 4th, 2008. The total amount comes to over $2.6 million.

Swizz Beatz, real name Kasseem Dean, could not be reached for comment.
