Woman used Flex Seal to seal her entire neighborhood’s mailboxes shut, her reign of terror was only stopped after someone called the police

Don't mess with people's mailboxes.

Before iPads and TikTok brainrot, kids used to be a little more creative with how they fought off boredom. A timeless source of joy for children would often involve being a nuisance to neighbors with games like ding-dong ditch being a go-to for many. However, one woman might have taken it too far as she went from being a nuisance to outright terrorizing her neighbors.

TikToker Kay.beli shared a baffling but hilarious story of how she “accidentally” committed a federal crime when she was a kid and it’s pretty unhinged. She explains that, as a child, she always asked her parents to buy her Flex Seal, whether it was a birthday or Christmas present, it didn’t matter, she just wanted the powerful adhesive for reasons.

Despite how much she asked for a can of Flex Seal her parents never bought it for her as they, quite understandably, questioned what a child would possibly want such a product for. In the end Kay’s aunt bought it for her, which would turn out to be a huge mistake.

Kay admits that for a while she didn’t know what to do with her Flex Seal but after using it on a bug in her room she became a little trigger happy.

Kay terrorized the neighbors

One day she explains her parents told her to go play outside and so, Flex Seal in hand, she ventured into the big wide world to see what she could seal up. Her attention quickly fixed on her family’s mailbox which she promptly sealed shut. “I wasn’t really thinking past it opens, if I spray it it won’t open anymore,” Kay explains, and that sounds exactly like child logic to me.

Of course, once her family’s mailbox was sealed shut she needed to find another way to get that rush and so she turned to the rows of mailboxes all down her street, systematically sealing each one shut. “I was just having a fun time,” Kay claims, “I didn’t mean to hurt anything or cause any harm.”

The police were called

At some point a neighbor informed the police of the mischief the young girl had gotten up to and so the police showed up to speak with Kay. They told her that messing with people’s mailboxes was a federal crime and even read her Miranda rights. Thankfully the cop decided to let her off provided she told all her neighbors what she had done and cleaned it off which is exactly what Kay spent the next few days doing.

In the end Kay’s mother didn’t ban her from using Flex Seal, but she did find creative ways for her to use the adhesive in ways that were helpful rather than harmful. Always remember with great Flex Seal comes great responsibility.
