Nintendo Switch 2 sees rare discount for Black Friday, base price likely to skyrocket in 2026

Deals are scarce, but you can still save $65 on the Mario Kart bundle!

The Nintendo Switch 2 is the hot games console for the 2025 holidays and what millions of people (young and old) will be hoping to find under their tree on Dec. 25th. Since its June launch, it’s been a runaway success, with Nintendo already shifting an impressive 10 million units.

But there are stormy clouds on the horizon in 2026. The ongoing construction of massive AI datacenters is raising the price of components used to make game consoles, particularly RAM. Nintendo likely has a supply of RAM on lockdown, but this won’t last forever. And with RAM prices quadrupling over recent months, any price rise will be passed on to the consumer.

All of which is to say that if you want to buy one, this Black Friday may be the cheapest they’ll be for some time. Given that the console is still relatively new, there aren’t any deep discounts, but you can still shave a decent amount off the price by using this deal from AliExpress.

This offers a Hong Kong import of the Switch 2 bundle with Mario Kart World (usually $499) for just $435.87 (after applying the code “AEUS100” during checkout). Don’t worry about local compatibility in this case, as the Switch 2 is a region-free console and will come with a US-style plug socket adaptor. This is also shipped from within the United States, meaning there are no tariffs to pay, and it will arrive before Christmas.

The only wrinkle is that an imported console won’t be covered by a U.S. warranty, but in the unlikely event it’s defective, AliExpress takes returns.

Games deals

Though console deals are thin on the ground, it’s easier to find deals on games and accessories. For example, Star Wars: Outlaws is down to $30 (from $59), and Sonic X Shadow Generations is down to $24.99 (from $49) at Amazon.

Nintendo is also running a Black Friday sale on its eShop with impressive discounts across a huge number of Switch and Switch 2 games. It’s worth remembering that the Switch 2 is almost fully backwards compatible with physical and digital Switch games, some of which will have upgrades to improve them on the new hardware, so there’s a lot on offer.

We can only repeat that console prices are likely to rise in 2026, so if you don’t buy now, you may be paying more if you get that Nintendo itch in 2026. All of these deals were live as of writing, so snap them up while they’re available and save some money!
