ICE agents are now descending on schools and daycares, but they get an earful from furious parents in Minnesota

Play dates and pepper sprays make for a dystopian combination.

Less than two weeks after an ICE agent recklessly and unlawfully killed a U.S. citizen, the Trump administration has decided to go all-in on its immigration crackdown, especially in the Twin Cities.

According to a new report by the Star Tribune, federal agents in tactical gear have been staking out daycares and schools in Minnesota. Parents dropping off their children have found themselves face-to-face with masked ICE agents lurking in unmarked vehicles, and there was even an instance of a parent confronting them outside a St. Louis Park daycare.

The agents present allegedly threatened him with pepper spray, but they scattered quickly when the local police arrived.

“The reporting party stated that the vehicle occupants appeared to be ICE officers,” said the police department, per Bring Me The News. They also wanted to “file a complaint regarding their interaction and was directed to file the complaint via the Department of Homeland Security website. Extra patrol was requested in the area.”

In the same report by Star Tribune, it’s claimed that ICE recently arrested a teacher outside Jardin Spanish Immersion Academy in Minneapolis, even though the teacher had a valid work permit through 2030.

The operators have extended beyond individual arrests. ICE agents stopped two vans transporting students and staff while they were en route to school this week. In Robbinsdale, agents arrested a parent waiting with their child, per CBS News, all part of a pattern of escalation that seems to have traded “protect and serve” for “surveil, harass, and detain.”

Big Brother isn’t just watching anymore—he’s actively hunting you down, even if your only crime was arriving legally to start a new life away from the strife and chaos of your home, which, in the case of many immigrants, is due to the fact that the U.S. spent decades turning their country of origin into a war zone.

According to data analyzed by the Deportation Data Project at UC Berkeley, around 75,000 people with no criminal record were arrested by ICE from January to October 2025. The agency has shifted from focusing on arrests at local jails to aggressive community raids, which has ultimately led to many violent confrontations.

And Trump’s official response to the authoritarian hell he’s helped unleash? Why, the president has once again taken to social media to let everyone know this is all the governor’s and the mayor’s fault.

“In Minnesota, the Troublemakers, Agitators, and Insurrectionists are, in many cases, highly paid professionals,” he wrote on Truth Social. “The Governor and Mayor don’t know what to do, they have totally lost control, and our currently being rendered, USELESS! If, and when, I am forced to act, it will be solved, QUICKLY and EFFECTIVELY!”

Thank you, Mr. President. We can all sleep soundly knowing you’ve identified the true villains here.
