Whispers from Angelina Jolie’s inner circle – she is paying an unforgiving price as fight with Brad Pitt becomes a mistake

Angelina Jolie may be set to leave Hollywood behind her as her legal battle with ex-husband Brad Pitt is turning out to be more costly than she ever could have anticipated.

The Hollywood star, known for her roles in films such as Maleficent, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, and Girl Interrupted is arguably one of the biggest actors of the 21st century and she’s made a lot of money for her appearances in such high profile projects. However, her large amount of wealth is dwindling fast according to reports.

Rumors began circulating last year that Jolie was considering relocating and leaving Hollywood and the LA lifestyle behind. The actress is supposedly considering several locations to move to either in Europe, Asia, or Africa. All places which Jolie has visited in the past either for acting roles or for her philanthropic work.

The reason for Angelina Jolie’s sudden move 

Jolie has already expressed her concerns over the direction America is headed, but the decision to move is reportedly more due to the actress running out of money. The rumors seemed to be somewhat confirmed earlier this month after Jolie apparently put her Cecil B. DeMille estate, which is worth around $25 million up for sale. According to an article from Blast, she has already started showing the property to potential buyers.

The biggest drain on her funds comes from Jolie’s bitter legal battle with ex-husband Brad Pitt. The couple split in 2016 citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their divorce. Almost ten years later and the pair are still in disagreement over the winery that they previously owned together. The lengthy legal dispute has reportedly drained the Hollywood actress’ funds.

The long legal battle seems to have worn Jolie down over time and a source who spoke with Rob Shuter claimed that “She’s not Taylor Swift-level rich, where money literally flows like champagne,” going on to add, “She’s not broke, but she’s not exactly swimming in cash either.”

The winery ended up costing more than it was worth

Jolie sold her stake in the couple’s Château Miraval winery in 2021 but Pitt has argued that he was not given a chance to match the sale price for the assets and claims that his ex-wife sold her stakes in an underhanded manner.

Since then the brutal legal battle has been going on between the two stars and sadly, Jolie seems to have come out worse for wear. She has reportedly had to resort to selling assets just to keep up with the cost of the dispute, selling jewelry, artwork, and even her vintage Ferrari. One attorney familiar with the case described it as “throwing money into a bonfire.”

With all that in mind, it makes sense why Angelina Jolie would feel the need to depart from Hollywood. To start fresh somewhere new and where things are more affordable. Of course, she still has plenty of projects lined up for the coming year and being away from Hollywood could give her more time on her hands to work on the things she’s truly passionate about.
