UK Prime Minister demands that ex-prince Andrew face the music in the US, insisting ‘Epstein’s victims have to be the first priority’

The British prime minister, Keir Starmer has called on Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor to testify before Congress in the United States following the latest explosive release of the Jeffrey Epstein files. According to the Fox News report, the Prime Minister feels that transparency is non-negotiable if justice is going to be served for the victims.

This demand comes right after a new trove of documents was released, which include deeply concerning photos of Andrew, kneeling over an unidentified and apparently unconscious woman. 

Starmer made his position clear. “In terms of testifying, I have always said anybody who has got information should be prepared to share that information,” Starmer stated. He continued that you simply “can’t be victim-centered if you’re not prepared to do that,” emphasizing that “Epstein’s victims have to be the first priority.”

While these new pictures are certainly striking, they aren’t the only ones that have recently surfaced. The last release had a batch of photos showing Prince Andrew lying across the laps of five different people. Those five faces, along with a sixth person and Ghislaine Maxwell standing behind them, were all blacked out in the released images. While none feature Epstein, the sheer volume of material connecting him to Epstein’s circle is staggering.

Andrew’s standing has significantly changed after he announced that he was giving up his royal titles in October. Later that month, the palace confirmed that King Charles had “initiated a formal process to remove the Style, Titles and Honours of Prince Andrew.” King Charles has also been clear about his position within the Royal Family.

Andrew’s issues don’t end there. Evidence released also reportedly included a screenshot of an email Jeffrey Epstein sent in March 2011 to someone identified simply as “The Duke,” who is believed to be Andrew. The content of that email allegedly requested “inappropriate friends.” Additionally, Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre filed a lawsuit against him, alleging she was forced to have sex with him three separate times, including once when she was only 17 years old.

If Andrew wants to clear his name and help the victims find closure, testifying seems like the only logical move. Democrats on the House Oversight Committee, the group that released the newest photos, had previously called on Prince Andrew to testify. It’s clear that officials in the U.S. Congress see him as a crucial witness, and hopefully, Starmer’s support will make his testimony a reality.
