‘Not the same woman?’: Internet has a new conspiracy – the Ghislaine Maxwell in prison is a lookalike

Is that really Ghislaine Maxwell in prison? Or is she somewhere else?

There are countless conspiracy theories related to Jeffrey Epstein and his child trafficking ring. While the government and the DoJ may be quiet on the matter, people are making up their own explanations and some of them are pretty convincing. Take The latest conspiracy theory floating about online that claims the Ghislaine Maxwell that’s currently in prison isn’t the real Ghislaine.

Just like the conspiracy theories that suggest Jeffrey Epstein was swapped out with a body double prior to his death, people online think that Maxwell could have pulled a similar trick. The theories came after photos of Maxwell, currently in prison, were compared side-by-side with older photos of Maxwell from before her incarceration; the differences are hard to deny.

The main points which people focused on were Maxwell’s nose and jaw bone, two things that seem to have drastically changed in recent photos. Her nose, more pointed in the older photos, seems to be flatter, maybe a little wider. The same goes for her jaw which is also noticeably wider. These things wouldn’t typically change much with age as a regular person’s bone structure wouldn’t look any different if they were older.

Is Ghislaine Maxwell really in prison?

The differences between the photos were enough to raise alarm bells with internet conspiracy theorists who suggested that the Maxwell in prison was a different person altogether and that the real Ghislaine Maxwell was somewhere in Tel Aviv, the same place they theorized Jeffrey Epstein was hiding out.

Maxwell recently begged the president for clemency but is that really her? It would make sense that she would be able to avoid justice thanks to her powerful connections. However, aside from a few photos that don’t look quite right, there is very little evidence to prove that this is actually the case.

Of course, that hasn’t stopped people looking for any small piece of evidence or out of place detail that might prove otherwise. On X, others added their own observations, “The biggest giveaway here is the fact that no high resolution photographs exist anywhere,” wrote one person, alluding to a large-scale cover-up. “Why is everyone failing to notice she went from hooded eyelids to double eyelids.” added another.

Some joked that Maxwell now looked more like Mike Myers’ iconic spy character, Austin Powers. Another claimed “She’s morphing into Rachel Maddow.” It’s hard to deny Maxwell does look different but admitting is one thing, jumping to the conclusion that the recent photos aren’t Ghislaine Maxwell is another thing entirely, but not impossible. Some on X admitted that while they usually disregard such claims, the photos have convinced them that something is off.
