Ubisoft has released a new video showing a multiplayer playthrough of one of the levels players can expect to see in the upcoming Rayman Legends for Wii U. Four players are shown controlling Rayman, Globox, a Teensie, and newcomer Barbara, along with a fifth player making use of the Wii U Game Pad to play as the flying character Murfy and interact with the level environments via the touch screen.

The five traverse through a hauntingly beautiful environment of huge plants and drafts of wind they can use to fly. They go on to find hidden rooms, save other captured Teensies, and navigate through dangerous sections of spiked plants. All the while, Murfy can touch certain objects to unleash hidden items, drag valuable Skull Coins directly to players, and even tickle enemies to give everyone an opportunity to attack.

Rayman Legends looks to be keeping the great platforming gameplay that the previous game had, while expanding on it with a clever use for the Wii U’s unique controller. The game is currently due to release sometime in early 2013.
