‘Bible influencer’ Ivanna Lisette Ortiz charged with attempted murder after shooting at Rihanna’s home

"Rihanna is the one who wants to kill me!"

Chaos erupted in Beverly Hills on Sunday. Gunfire echoed across the streets as an individual opened fire on Rihanna and A$AP Rocky’s mansion with an AR-15-style rifle. Rihanna was inside at the time, with a round penetrating the wall of her home with potentially fatal consequences.

Between seven and nine shots were fired from a white Tesla, which promptly fled the scene. Cops were soon on the hunt for the vehicle, tracking it down to a parking lot in Sherman Oaks. The gunwoman has now been identified as 35-year-old Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, who has been charged with the attempted murder of Rihanna, with her bail set at $10,225,000.

So, why on earth did she want to kill Rihanna? Ortiz appears to be a ‘Bible influencer’ and Christian, running a YouTube channel with daily “Praying Women’s Journal” videos to her 151 subscribers. Judging by some of the videos, it seems that Ortiz was… unwell and fixated on the idea of Rihanna being a witch.

“No Rihanna, no. You’re not the eagle. They will soar high on wings like eagles. Rihanna wants to say that we are flying. That we are flying and we’re not. She’s not flying. She’s had a bad day. She looks really stupid and corny. And everyone knows it.”

Yeah, she’s a witch. She’s a witch!

Ortiz goes on to claim that Rihanna is trying to kill her:

“But the way that Rihanna wants to kill me. She’s the one who wants to kill me. The way that Rihanna wants to kill me shows that we’re not going to show this right now. But this is my heart, Lord and I am expecting and waiting in that beautiful time for you to show me what you’re going to do and how you’re going to deliver this promise.”

Then things take a turn for the disturbing:

“Listen Rihanna. When you die, God is taking me to my future. You want to kill me. Shut the f–k up. Shut the f–k up. Yeah, she’s a witch. She’s a witch. I’m a watchman. She’s a witch. Get that stupid girl out of here, okay.”

It certainly sounds like Rihanna literally dodged a bullet here. While Ortiz may not have directly aimed at her, a bullet passing through the wall of her home while she was inside could easily have been fatal, and judging by Ortiz’ videos she seems to have a homicidal fixation on her.

In some ways, this is a celebrity’s worst nightmare: a fully delusional and violent person who’s fixated on you and has completely lost their grip on reality. As this shows, you can insulate yourself inside a mansion, but even then, you’re still in danger of any random nut with a gun.

Here’s hoping Ortiz gets the help she needs behind bars, which is presumably where she’ll be spending a very, very long time.
