‘How can she be this dumb?’: ‘Proud Islamophobe’ Laura Loomer enraptured by Islamic architecture

It’s safe to say MAGA-mad Trump valkyrie and Arkham Asylum escapee Laura Loomer isn’t the biggest fan of Islam. She says Muslims are a “cancer”, calls herself a “proud Islamophobe,” and has argued that Muslims should be barred from holding public office in the United States.

This has extended to Loomer harassing individual Muslim government employees, which perpetual thorn in her side, Mehdi Hasan described as “shameful”:

It’s an Eid miracle!

But, in a shocking twist, it seems that Loomer may have accidentally received the light of Islam on a trip to India. Loomer’s history of repellent racist statements about India hasn’t stopped her from visiting the country (not without controversy!), and she seems especially enraptured by the Taj Mahal, saying:

I had a magnificent day at the Taj Mahal. 🇮🇳

It is the most incredible monument I have ever seen in my life. A monument of love built with perfect symmetry and detail.

India is one of the most beautiful countries I’ve ever had the pleasure of traveling to.

Uh-huh. Well, I’m glad you’re enjoying the most delicious fruit of a religion you think is a “cancer”. Mehdi Hasan couldn’t believe his eyes, saying:

Hasan is right, as the Taj Mahal is arguably the ultimate architectural embodiment of Islamic philosophy. That “perfect symmetry” Loomer is marveling at represents tawhid, the absolute unity of Allah, intended to underline order, balance, and interconnectedness in the cosmos

The Taj Mahal is also dominated by beautiful calligraphy decorations featuring verses from the Quran, a holy book she describes as a “death cult manual for the destruction of Western civilization” and that it “calls on all Muslims to wage jihad against non-Muslims.”

All of which makes it a teeny bit hypocritical for her to be sunning herself in front of it for social media photo ops. Then again, if Loomer actually cared about looking like a hypocrite, she wouldn’t be in India at all, so I doubt this cognitive dissonance is troubling her one bit. For her, it’s “ooh, pretty building”.
