The world is nervously looking on as Donald Trump‘s disastrous war with Iran spirals out of control. But, at least we can be assured that the president is at least giving the conflict his full attention… oh no wait, he’s randomly beefing with Bruce Springsteen on social media.
Apparently, having nothing better to do with his time, Trump took to Truth Social to throw out a post aimed directly at Springsteen. To be fair, the catty Trump that snipes at the entertainment world is one of his more amusing incarnations, if only this were all he did!
“Bad, and very boring singer, Bruce Springsteen, who looks like a dried up prune who has suffered greatly from the work of a really bad plastic surgeon, has long had a horrible and incurable case of Trump Derangement Syndrome, sometimes referred to as TDS.
The guy is a total loser who spews hate against a President who won a Landslide Election, including the popular vote, all Seven Swing States, and 86% of the Counties across America. Under Sleepy Joe and the Dems, our Country was DEAD, and now we have the “hottest” Country, by far, anywhere in the World. MAGA SHOULD BOYCOTT HIS OVERPRICED CONCERTS, WHICH SUCK. SAVE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY. AMERICA IS BACK!!! President DJT”
Extremely presidential, sir!
Many of the posts on Truth Social are written by staffers vaguely mimicking Trump’s writing style. In this case, it’s safe to say that this is conclusively the real deal, as shown by him wandering off piste and lavishing praise upon himself midway through his insults.
An “American tragedy”
Springsteen-bashing isn’t new for Trump, who’s never been a fan. Springsteen frequently hits back, portraying Trump as a threat to democracy, freedom, and the “American dream”.
Temperatures have recently risen again between the pair. Springsteen’s latest tour is being billed as explicitly anti-Trump, saying they’re “in defense of America, American democracy… all of which are under attack by our wannabe king and his rogue government.” Springsteen has also kept up a barrage of insults onstage, calling Trump a “moron,” an “American tragedy,” and someone who “can’t handle the truth,” while performing new anti-ICE protest songs.
Just yesterday, he took to the stage to say:

All of this has put a bee under Trump’s bonnet, with Springsteen clearly living rent-free in the presidential noggin. But, frankly, this is all great press for Springsteen. After all, what better way to burnish your anti-Trump credentials than by the president himself tossing playground insults your way from the bully pulpit?
And as for the prospect of a concert boycott? Well, the only people who’d be paying attention to Trump on this probably aren’t going to be first in line for Springsteen tickets anyway, so I doubt there’ll be any empty seats in the stadium. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised to see this very Truth Socia post emblazoned across the video displays at upcoming concerts: proof that Springsteen has successfully gotten under Trump’s skin.
