According to Lupe Fiasco, Jay-Z and Kanye West’s upcoming collaboration album, ‘Watch The Throne’, has hurt plans for his Child Rebel Soldier album. The Child Rebel Soldier disc is supposed to be a joint effort by Kanye, Pharrell Williams and Lupe. While talking to Hartford 93.7’s The Morning Crew, Lupe told them the following:

“I think the Jay-Z/Kanye collabo [Watch the Throne] kinda was like, ‘Aww man, aww no,’ ” he noted. “Whenever we get to go in [the studio] and have the time and the opportunity to do it, we’re always working on some other project. Pharrell gon’ do a soundtrack for a movie, Kanye does another project.”

While the CRS album may be delayed, it’s not dead. I’m sure the three will get around to recording it eventually. Until then though, you can check out Kanye and Jay-z’s album on March 1st and Lupe’s upcoming album ‘Lasers’, on March 8th. Also, if you haven’t yet heard the first single off ‘Watch The Throne’, you can hear it here.
