‘She never saw me’: Orlando man cherishs Lamborghini, then woman in monster truck drives through him

It wasn't just any car.

A car accident in Orlando was so bizarre that even one of the people involved is still scratching their head in disbelief. The video of an unnamed driver’s truck trampling over Ramon Ferrer’s Lamborghini has since gone viral on multiple social media platforms, and now questions are arising about whether the driver of the truck will be issued a citation by the Orlando Police Department.

Ferrer’s Lamborghini cost an eye-watering $250,000 and is now at the body shop for repairs. That in itself is nothing to scoff at — a good mechanic would tell you that getting a car like that back to full functionality can sometimes cost as much as buying two brand-new cars. But right now, Ferrer is just happy he got out of the ordeal with his life.

I’d hate to be the insurance agent taking this call. Also you can’t park there. #fyp #orlando #florida @Venvm

Ferrer recounted the ordeal, saying he was trying to reverse his car in the parking lot of Lake Nona gym when the truck driver came speeding toward his supercar. The truck eventually climbed on top of the Lamborghini and began crushing it while Ferrer was still inside. He then explained how he managed to escape, saying, “I jumped out of the car because I saw the wheel … kept on spinning. So I’m like, she still wants to go.”

“I don’t know how you can miss a whole car”

“The only thing that actually saved me was God, of course, 100%, but another thing was her axle got stuck on my pillar on the windshield,” Ferrer continued. “If not, she would have just wrecked me completely. It would have been a nightmare. I wouldn’t be here right now, which is kind of crazy.”

Ferrer also pointed out that this wasn’t just any car — it was a quarter-million-dollar luxury vehicle. He told reporters he had only owned it for five months and that buying it was a personal milestone. Granted, Lamborghinis are famously low to the ground while trucks sit much higher, but Ferrer still can’t understand how the driver failed to see his entire car. “I don’t know how you can miss a whole car. I mean, yes, I’m slammed to the ground because it’s a Lamborghini, but still, how do you miss a car?”

Ferrer still has no idea whether the vehicle can be fully repaired. That remains to be seen. But his notable lack of road rage in the face of such an outrageous incident won’t factor into whether the Orlando Police Department takes action. According to reports, authorities are still reviewing the evidence and deciding whether a citation is warranted.

But all in all, this could have been much worse. Lamborghinis, trucks, and driver’s licenses are all valuable, but none of these things compares to human life.
