You play stupid games, you win stupid prizes.

Receiving a late-night message from a stranger is annoying. But getting a multi-paragraph essay from your ex-fiance’s girlfriend is another matter entirely. For Los Angeles-based creator Chris, a sudden 4:00 AM notification went too far.

In a video that has locked in over 2.4 million views, Chris (TikTok/@chris__tie) detailed a massive communication breach by her ex-fiancé’s girlfriend and her response left viewers divided. Some were entirely against Chris’ pettiness, while some understood her stance and stood by her.

A massive 4:00 AM message by an ex-fiance’s girlfriend allegedly contained explicit insults and boundary threats

In her video, Chris says the disruption occurred in the dead of night when she woke up to an absolute novel of a text message from a phone number she didn’t recognize. The sender appeared to be the current partner of her former fiancé. And the text was completely packed with hostility.

Chris claimed the girlfriend sent multiple paragraphs making fun of her appearance, accused her of crossing personal boundaries, and threw out vague threats.

“I know that’s just been marinating in her notes app for weeks, and she maybe just waited until she was not in her right mind to send it,” Chris concluded. She went on to speculate that the woman likely waited until her boyfriend was asleep to sneakily grab her phone number directly out of his device.

A friendly relationship with the ex-fiancé’s mother was the ultimate catalyst for the text

The cherry on top is that Chris and her ex-fiancé have allegedly been completely broken up for two years after a six-year relationship. They don’t communicate and haven’t spoken since their shared dog passed away months ago. According to the creator, their dynamic is entirely done and dusted.

However, because they apparently were together for so long, Chris naturally maintained an independent friendship with the man’s mother. They meet up for dinner about three times a year and occasionally text each other for casual style advice.

The ex-fiancé’s girlfriend apparently uncovered their relationship and decided she hated it. Surprisingly, she apparently chose to launch an attack on Chris rather than talking with her own boyfriend about the matter.

The creator sent the ex-fiance’s girlfriend’s message straight to the family

Rather than firing back an angry text response at 4:00 AM, Chris decided to let the man’s family handle the embarrassing behavior internally.

She allegedly completely ignored the notification, captured screenshots of the entire essay, and sent them directly to her ex-fiancé’s mother. Chris concluded her story by explaining that she has zero intention of entering a toxic exchange with a stranger. She peacefully left the mother to deal with her son’s choice of partner. The woman who sent the message remains anonymous and has not commented on the matter.
