True crime YouTuber arrested near Nancy Guthrie’s Arizona home as ‘pee tent’ anger brews

He confirms he's planning to escalate to number 2: "I can do whatever I want"

It has been more than four months since Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of NBC Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie, was apparently abducted from her home in the Catalina Foothills area of Tucson, Arizona. She was last seen on the evening of Jan 31, and the alarm was raised on Feb 1. As of writing, she remains missing, with no arrest or suspect named.

For the Guthrie family, this has been a nightmare, with Savannah Guthrie speaking publicly about her ongoing grief. But for the true crime industry this story has generated millions of clicks and drawn unwanted crowds to Guthrie’s neighborhood.

Now, as per a report from Tucson news station KOLD, three YouTubers have been arrested near the Guthrie home amidst mounting complaints from the neighborhood. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department has named YouTubers Alexander Zabel Jr., Troy Lewis “DAA Juice” Bradshaw, and Damian Todd Enderle as being arrested.

“An offensive setting in the middle of the neighborhood”

Alexander Zabel’s case in particular is raising eyebrows. The 54-year-old host of the YouTube channel CriminalNetwork is accused of setting up a “pee tent” on a neighborhood road on June 6, apparently to allow him to urinate without leaving his spot. The PCMD says:

“Due to the sensitivity and proximity to the high-profile address, Alexander made an offensive setting in the middle of the neighborhood, causing an obstruction to the free use of property that interferes with the comfortable enjoyment of life of property by the entire community,”

PCSD’s Sheriff Nanos underlined that local residents are extremely unhappy, alleging that Alexander had been witnessed “pouring urine on a nearby property” and also claiming that they have video evidence of him peeing in public. The PCSD said:

“Sheriff Nanos will no longer tolerate behavior that disrupts the community or violates the law. Effective immediately, individuals found in violation of the law may be cited and released on a first offense.”

In a five-hour video marking 127 days of his vigil, Zabel appeared dismayed at his arrest but confirmed “I’m staying” and that he planned to “set up a little barbecue”. He went on to reference his charges, which he dubbed a “frivolous ticket”, saying “the judge is going to be like, really?” before threatening “to put that cop on time-out”.

He also indicated he’s not about to stop fouling the local area, saying, “I can take a s–t right here. I can do whatever I want right here because it’s in the privacy of my tent.”

Nancy Guthrie remains missing.
