UK retailer GAME has confirmed that the leaked Grand Theft Auto V promotional material posted on a Polish website over the weekend is legitimate, leaving little doubt that the next installment in the franchise will launch this coming spring.

GAME’s Brighton division provided the GTA V confirmation earlier today in a now-deleted Tweet that read, “Pre order now!!!!!!! #GTA5”. Included with the message was a picture of three PS3 placeholder boxes containing artwork matching some of the previously leaked promotional material and a blurb about the spring 2013 release window.

All that remains now is for Rockstar and Take-Two to officially confirm the release date. At the very latest you can expect that announcement to come with Game Informer’s Grand Theft Auto V cover story on November 8th, however, now that the cat is out of the bag it would not surprise me if we hear something from the publisher sooner.
