NYPD Inspector suspended after accusation he SA’d Black officer and allegedly said he wanted to ‘make biracial babies’ with her

He allegedly said, "I do not know whether I should smack or kiss you."

New York Police Department inspector Jeremy Scheublin has been suspended from his job after allegedly sexually assaulting a fellow police officer.

As reported by PEOPLE, Scheublin was removed from his position as commanding officer of his precinct on Tuesday, June 30, after being sued in Bronx Supreme Court by a 34-year-old officer identified only as a single mother of two. She alleges that Scheublin sexually assaulted her in his office on June 1, 2025, at the 46th Precinct, during which he told her that he wanted to “make biracial babies” with her.

The officer alleges in her complaint (detailed in The NY Times) that while she was in his office, Scheublin grabbed her buttocks, tossed her onto a couch, and forcefully tried to kiss her. She noted that he was armed while doing this. She says he then put his hand around her neck, and tried to remove her own gun belt.

The complaint says she then “physically fought off defendant Scheublin by kicking him in the groin and escaping his office”. It adds that she “believed Scheublin, who was wearing his service weapon, would rape her if she didn’t fight him off”.

The woman immediately reported this incident to her department’s internal affairs, saying that Scheublin had long given her the creeps before the alleged assault, and that he’d often commented on her love life, called her when she was off duty, and discussed her appearance. She says that he once approached her at work and said, “I do not know whether I should smack or kiss you.”

She alleges that after she’d reported Scheublin to internal affairs, he retaliated in petty ways, assigning her 3 am night shifts and switching her partners. It’s also claimed that he attempted to bribe her to stop her from speaking out about the assault, and that the department offered to transfer her away from him.

She says they wanted her to transfer away

As her attorney, John Scola, said: “A victim of a sexual assault should not be punished by being forced to uproot her career.”

Scheublin has not directly commented, though the NY Post reports that he’s filed for retirement. Scheublin’s lawyer, Oliver Storch, said (via PEOPLE) that this retirement was to stop him being “a further distraction to the NYPD and to concentrate on addressing the hurtful and false allegations in the lawsuit” and that he will “address all accusations in the appropriate forum and asks the public to withhold judgment until conclusion of the process.”

In other NYPD news, the cops weren’t at all impressed when two European daredevils scaled the Empire State Building to propose, and they’re still poring over a grisly mystery after a body was found stuffed into a chimney in a Queens elementary school.
