Christoph Waltz Set For Muppet Movie Sequel

Muppets are the funniest things in the world. Just look at them. They're all furry and flappy and happy, and all they want to do is put on a good show. Well, they'll have a chance to do just that, this time with the genuine talents of Christoph Waltz at their side - he's just signed on to appear in the sequel to The Muppets (that's the latest one.... Disney made it in 2011).

Muppets are the funniest things in the world. Just look at them. They’re all furry and flappy and happy, and all they want to do is put on a good show. Well, they’ll have a chance to do just that, this time with the genuine talents of Christoph Waltz at their side – he’s just signed on to appear in the sequel to The Muppets (that’s the latest one…. Disney made it in 2011).

That’s right: the Oscar-winning Austrian actor who first blew us away with his role as charismatic bastard Nazi Hans Landa in Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds is looking for a change of scenery, apparently. Done with the cruel landscapes of World War II, perhaps Waltz just wants to chill out with a few friendly faces. Maybe he’ll sing. Oh, God, please sing!

This time the movie is rumored to take place in Europe, and will follow the Muppets as they scurry about and get into the usual scrapes. Apparently Waltz will play an Interpol agent, presumably doing things like telling the Muppets off for knocking over the Eiffel Tower or something.

The film is to be directed by James Bobin and will be written by Nicholas Stoller, both of whom worked on the last movie.

What do you reckon on Christoph Waltz’s inclusion, then? Let us know in the comments section below.
