Pairing up for the upcoming genre film The Last Knights are Morgan Freeman and Clive Owen. The Kazuaki Kiriya–directed flick will follow “a band of warriors who seek to avenge the loss of their master at the hands of a corrupt emperor.”
We know, doesn’t exactly sound like a flick that these two well respected thespians would place themselves in but hey, you can’t blame them for wanting the easy paycheck, can you?. Production is set to begin this month in Czech Republic so expect more news shortly.
For now though, the film does have me interested. I’m not expecting anything of Oscar quality with this one (despite each actor’s reputation), but still, to see Owen and Freeman in the same film, likely going head to head, is an exciting idea.
As mentioned above, this is likely just a quick and easy paycheck for the two actors but that doesn’t mean it won’t result in some fun.
