Mashup Of The Day is a column that will take a look at new mashups that are circulating around the internet. Today’s mashup is called Thunder Jack Flash and is done by G3RSt.

The mashup is made up of the following:

Jumping Jack Flash by The Rolling Stones

Thunderstruck by AC/DC

It’s always nice to see older songs being mashed together. It gets to a point where those ‘top 40’ songs get old. Here we have two classic songs, Jumping Jack Flash and Thunderstruck. I’ve never been a big fan of AC/DC but I do love the Stones. Jumping Jack Flash is one of my favorite Stones songs and it sounds pretty good when put together with Thunderstruck.

Brian Johnson’s vocals sound good over Richard’s guitar and the two songs play off each other pretty well. One thing that bugs me is the version of Thunderstruck they’ve used. It sounds like a crappy live version. The sound isn’t clean and it sounds a bit muffled. I compared it with the original track and it sounded a lot worse than the original.

Nevertheless it’s still a pretty good mix and classic rock fans will surely enjoy it.
