Today we receive an update on the sequel to one of my favorite horror films of the past few years, The Strangers. News reports are coming in today that state casting and location scouting have begun for the project and that things are getting underway. The film will receive direction from Laurent Briet, working on a from a script by Bryan Bertino, who wrote and directed the original.
Apparently the plot will focus on a family living in a trailer park that is stalked by the same trio from the first film. Sounds interesting. No start date has been announced but it shouldn’t be too far away. We’ll keep you updated when we know more.
While this may not be huge news, at least it confirms that the film is moving along. Like I said before, I enjoyed the original a lot so I’m looking forward to the sequel.
