I guess the saying “better late than never” was created for this scenario, huh? It’s been about two years since developers Just Add Water announced the HD remake of Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee, and the company has recently stated that the game will finally see a release towards the end of the month. Christmas comes a little early for our European friends, as a release is scheduled for December 19th across the pond. The North American launch will be coming sometime in “late December.”

The Xbox launch title is by no means the best game in the Oddworld series, but it’s far from a bad title. An HD remake and a Playstation port is music to any fan’s ears, and after a few cancellation scares, it’s fantastic to hear that the remake will finally see the light of day. North American gamers are looking at a $9.99 price tag for the release.

Since Christmas is on a Tuesday this year, would anybody like to wager that we just might be receiving another trip to Oddworld in our stockings this year? Let us know if you’re excited to finally get your hands on this Xbox classic in the comments below!
