Gorgeous New Trailer For The Great Gatsby

Though it may have fallen off of the radar for a little while, Baz Luhrmann's The Great Gatsby is back in the spotlight with the release of two new character posters and a brand new trailer, which is absolutely gorgeous. Opening with No Church in the Wild, a Kanye West/Jay-Z track that seems like an odd choice for this film, the trailer makes it look like we have a pretty decent adaptation on our hands with this one.

Though it may have fallen off of the radar for a little while, Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby is back in the spotlight with the release of a brand new trailer, which is absolutely gorgeous. All of the cast members seem to be doing great work, despite a bit of over-acting, and the production design is simply gorgeous. This is real eye candy and on a visual level at least, The Great Gatsby is sure to impress. Throw in the fact that the film will be in 3D and you can be sure that this will be one movie that you’ll want to see in theatres rather than waiting for the Blu-Ray release. Baz Luhrmann has brought the Jazz Age to life in spectacular fashion here and I can’t wait to see his world unfold on the big screen.

Throughout the trailer we also get some more hints towards the plot and the drama and mystery that it involves. Those familiar with the classic novel will be right at home here as most of the key characters get a chance to shine. The most intriguing would have to be Leonardo DiCaprio as the titular Jay Gatsby but as I said above, everyone looks like they are bringing their A -game and I’m excited to see the cast bring the famous literary characters to life.

The Great Gatsby stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan, Tobey Maguire, Isla Fisher and Joel Edgerton. It is currently set for a May 10th, 2013 release date.
