Take A Ride With New The Place Beyond the Pines Trailer

Hollywood studs Ryan Gosling and Bradley Cooper are coming to a theater near you — and all in one movie. The two heartthrobs teamed up for Focus Features’ The Place Beyond the Pines, which features Gosling as a professional motorcycle rider who turns to bank robbing to provide for his son.

It seems Gosling loved his stint in the fast lane with Drive, asThe Place Beyond The Pines features what looks like similar action-packed, on-the-edge-of-your-seat chase scenes. The flick pits Gosling’s Luke against Cooper’s Avery Cross, a rookie police officer, after Luke discovers the infant son he didn’t know he had. When the boy’s mother, Romina (Eva Mendes), demands Luke provide for them, he takes to a life of crime.

Sporting platinum blonde hair and countless tattoos, Gosling doesn’t have his usual heartthrob appearance, but it looks like ladies will get plenty of shots of his body, and maybe fewer Drive-like intense stares. Directed by Derek Cianfrance (who worked with Gosling in 2010‘s Blue Valentine), the film is sure to take you on a white-knuckle chase between cops and robbers, heroes and villains.

As much as I love Cooper as the funnyman and Gosling in chick flicks, having the two team up for this action-packed film promises a heartrending journey. The Place Beyond the Pines is set for limited release on March 29, 2013, and I for one am hoping it’ll be at a theater near me.
